We have received an educational grant from ASTRAZENECA to update our TRUSTING educational programme material. BCRF funded the production and evaluation of the original TRUSTING materials. The new AZ funding has allowed us to update the didactic presentation and produce two more scenarios in addition to an interview with a leading geneticist and roll out a further 8 workshops across the UK.
The content of the new films feature a BRCA 1 positive woman in discussion with a specialist breast nurse, and a clinician. The interview with geneticist Professor Clare Turnbull (geneticist) covers discussion about new relevant gene alterations and mainstream testing opportunities within cancer centres.
