A series of public consultation events held in 2025 in Sussex and Surrey explored the use of electronic questionnaires in healthcare, particularly among groups at risk of poorer health outcomes. The consultations aimed to understand barriers, concerns, and enablers related to digital health tools, especially in the context of the NHS's shift toward digital services.

A series of public consultation events held in 2026 in person and online explored the support services available to and used by informal cancer caregivers. These discussions were intended to better understand what research is needed and to help us design research projects that: 1. Address the questions most important to caregivers; 2. Are designed using methods and approaches that are acceptable to caregivers

There is interest worldwide about using a drug called a PARP inhibitor (PARPi) in people with BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 gene changes. These drugs already work in patients with cancer who have gene changes. We hope that PARP inhibitors given to those with gene changes who do not have cancer will stop a cancer developing. Before doctors can design a chemoprevention trial using this drug, we need to find out the preferences and acceptability of such a study. Initial insights gained from members of the public - in this instance women - will help with trial design and the sort of information required.
