We have received an educational grant from ASTRAZENECA to update our TRUSTING educational programme material. BCRF funded the production and evaluation of the original TRUSTING materials. The new AZ funding will allow us to update the didactic presentation and produce two more scenarios in addition to an interview with a leading geneticist and roll out a further 8 workshops across the UK.
The content of the new films will feature a BRCA 1 positive woman in discussion with a specialist breast nurse, and a clinician. The interview with geneticist Professor Clare Turnbull (geneticist) would cover discussion about new relevant gene alterations and mainstream testing opportunities within cancer centres.
