How to find us

By train

It takes approximately 11 minutes to walk to our unit from Falmer railway station which is served by regular trains from either Brighton or Lewes.

On arrival at Falmer Station take the exit adjacent to Platform 2 and follow the path to your left, down through the underpass and onto the University of Sussex Campus. You will reach a pelican crossing where you turn right onto the Southern Ring Road which takes you past Sussex House. At the junction with the North South Road turn left until you reach another pelican crossing where you turn right and take the flight of steps running up beside Pevensey II and the Genome Centre which brings you to the bottom right hand corner of Science Car Park 1. Our unit is based at the top of the Science Car park. Cross the bottom part of the car park going up the hill into Science Park Road. Continue up the road until you see the sign for the Knights Gate Road car park on the left. Turn left here. Walk through the car park and at the end you will see steps and a slope going down to SHORE-C.

For train times see the National Rail enquiries website, and enter Falmer as the destination station.

By bus

Bus numbers 25, 25a and 25b run between the centre of Brighton and the University - from Churchill Square and Old Steine - bringing passengers directly onto the campus. In addition, bus services 28, 29, 728 and 729 operate between Brighton (Old Steine) and destinations east of Falmer. These stop outside the University of Sussex campus.

Our nearest Bus Stop on the 25 route is on Boiler House Hill opposite the Hastings Building. When you alight at this stop, go up the hill following the road around to the right. After a few minutes you will see a path leading down to SHORE-C on your right.

For bus times see the Brighton & Hove Bus company website.

By car

If you are driving from London take the A23 towards Brighton and then join the A27 heading towards Lewes. Leave the A27 at the Junction with B2123 and take the first exit at the roundabout which brings you into the main University entrance which is Knights Gate Road. Take the first road on the left which is the Southern Ring road, then almost immediately the first right onto Science Park Road and then immediately right again into Knights Gate Road car park.
