A two stage randomised controlled trial comparing pulmonary metastasecomy with active monitoring in terms of survival and QoL. Patients with operable lung metastases following treatment for colorectal cancer are eligible to take part. The trial is investigating the risks and benefits of pulmonary metastasectomy to provide reliable evidence for future clinical guidelines.
